Art and Experience: Iranian film ‘Yellow’ directed by Mostafa Taghizadeh has qualified to compete in the 2017 Shanghai International Film Festival in China.

The 93 minute film will be competing as part of the official selection of the festival’s 20th edition to be held June 17-26 in Shanghai.

‘Yellow’ features Iranian actor such as Bahram Radan, Sareh Bayat, Mehrdad Sedighian, Bahareh Kianafshar, Shahram Haghighatdoust, Alireza Ostadi, Hossein Mehri, Anahita Dargahi, Morteza Taghizadeh, Amir-Ali Nabavian and Ali Salehi.

The synopsis of ‘Yellow’ reads, “We are strange people… Our present is very different to our future”. ‘Yellow’ is slated to hit Iranian local cinemas soon.

Founded in 1993, Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) focuses on awards, markets, forums and film exhibitions so as to build an international platform, and promote the development of the Chinese film industry.
