US FCI to screen Iran’s ‘For Freedom’
Art and Experience: The 6th Festival Cinema Invisible (FCI) will screen Iranian animated movie ‘For Freedom’, directed by Ahmad Khoshtinat.
For Freedom will be displayed at the US event on April 23 in New York.
The movie is a poetic interpretation of the last moments of the life of Iranian poet, journalist and senior politician of Constitutional era, Mirza Mohammad Farrokhi Yazdi.
The Iranian animation has also been accepted at other international film festivals, including Chandler International Film Festival in Arizona and Tula International Film Festival in Russia.
For Freedom won the ritle of Silver Winner at International Independent Film Awards in Los Angeles.
Festival Cinema Invisible is an independent, not-for-profit venue dedicated to celebration of the Middle Eastern films that international audience may not otherwise see. FCI is committed to nurturing purposeful communication and meaningful cultural exchange. By introducing filmmakers who may not have access to other mediums, the Festival provides a forum for dialogue and exchange of ideas.
