Art and Experience: Aram Shahbazian and Aren Vatyan are two Armenian directors who are going to be in Iran during the movie week of Armenia and they are going to be present in the workshops.

The Armenian Film Week will be held by Art and Experience on July 23-29 in Artists House of Tehran, Hoveizeh of Mashhad, and Golestan of Shiraz.

Aram Shahbazian

born in 1971. He graduated from Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema in 1994, Directing Department. In 1996-1997, he studied in La Femis as a Film Director. He was the chief director of Ar TV Company, director at Armenian Public TV Company, director assistent at Hayfilm Studio. Currently he works for Shoghakat TV. His short film “Akner” was selected by XXVII Moscow IFF 2005, for the section Perspectives. He got the Best Director Award twice at the “Yes em” IFF of Young Filmmakers in Yerevan, in 2004 and 2005.

Aren Vatyan

(born 1977, Yerevan, Armenia)
Vatyan graduated from the Feature Film Direction Department of Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute. Since 1999, he has been an actor at Yerevan Dramatic Theatre and acted in several films
awarded a gold medal at “UNICA” short film IF held in Austria in the “Best Professional Film”
