Art and Experience: Like many of its festival brethren, this year’s Tribeca Film Festival has pivoted away from a live event (at least, for now) in the wake of a rapidly changing entertainment landscape. Tribeca will still host a number of online-only programming picks in the coming days, along with making many of its other offerings available to press and potential buyers.

However, before the postponement of this year’s festival and the subsequent virtual plans, Tribeca did announce its lineup in early March, and there was a lot worthy of anticipation. That includes a wide range of competition films (and, yes, awards will still be given out) and hidden gems from around the world.

Here are a dozen we’ve been tracking in recent weeks — 12 titles worth getting excited about no matter how they might be experienced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more coverage from this year’s lineup.
