Art and Experience: Three Iranian films will be competing in various sections of the Mill Valley Film Festival, which opens in the U.S. city today.

Asghar Farhadi’s acclaimed drama “The Salesman”, which is Iran’s submission to the 89th Academy Awards in the best foreign-language film category, will be shown in the World Cinema category.

The section will also screened “Bench Cinema” by Mohammad Rahmanian.

The festival has also arranged two screenings for “The Ground Is Breathing”, a short film by Ali Pur-Issa.

The California Film Institute is the organizer of the event, which will end on October 16.
