Art and Experience: Iranian director and producer Hamid Jafari’s “The Rock” will compete in Hot Docs, the Canadian international documentary festival, which will be held in Toronto from April 28 to May 8.

The 26-Minutes documentary is about a woman who lives in southern Iran in a hut made of stones dug out of the rock.  She breaks off rocks from a cliff using only the strength of her arms and a crowbar as a tool. Her day-to-day life is divided between the care she provides for her husband and the long hours spent extracting stones.
