Art and Experience: Iranian director Bahman Kamyar’s movie ‘The Half’ will go on screen at St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) on November 11-12.
In addition to The Half, Soheila Golestani’s Two, is another Iranian representative attending the SLIFF.
American comedian and actor Jerry Lewis along with Charles Burnett, Gordon Quinn, and Kim Tucci will judge the event.
The Half, previously attending the official section of the 24th Raindance Film Festival in UK and International Crime and Punishment Film Festival, tells the story of Azar, a young girl whose mother was killed by her step-father. Now, she is looking for justice.
SLIFF is a regional, internationally themed film event dedicated to exploring cross-cultural understanding through the art of the cinema.
Due on November 13-23, SLIFF aims at enhancing cultural diversity by bringing American independent productions, horizon-expanding international films and high-quality studio films to audiences before their commercial release. The festival is produced by Cinema St. Louis, a not-for-profit organization.
