Art and Experience: The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is scheduled to review films by Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-Hsien during a comprehensive program, which will begin this evening.

A lineup seven movies, including “A Time to Live, a Time to Die”, the winner of the FIPRESCI Prize at the 1986 Berlin International Film Festival, and “A City of Sadness”, which gained Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1989, will be screened during the program.

The program runs through June 19 following the screening of “The Assassin” that won the award for best director at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015.

Born in 1947, Hou is also a screenwriter, producer and actor internationally known for making dramas that recounts major upheavals in the history of his homeland.
