“Starless dream” Won the International Documentary Film Festival “Cronograf”
Art and Experience: The main prize of the International Documentary Film Festival “Cronograf” was awarded to the Iranian film director Mehrdad Oskouei for the movie “Starless dream”.
According to festival organizers, the film shows the story of a young woman from a socially vulnerable family. Also, the film got the UN Women award for promotion of women’s rights.
The film “The Domino Effect” by German and Polish film directors Elwirei Niewiera and Piotr Rosolowski got premium for production, while the movie “Mr. Gaga” by Israeli film director Tomer Heymann was rewarded with a special jury prize.
In the category CadRo, the first place was given to the film “Wild” by Romanian director Dana Curean. The people’s choice award went to the Romanian film director Adriana Oprea for the movie “Calusarii from Barla”.
The movie “I Do Not Hate You, Death” by Olga Lucovnicova was declared best Moldovan documentary film.
The 13th International Documentary Film Festival “Cronograf” was held on May 12-18 in Chisinau. Audience of other localities of Moldova will be presented films, screened at the festival, in summer.
