Art and Experience: The Poster of the Shadows of Horror: Midnight Screenings section of the 35th Fajr International Film Festival has been published.

The 35th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival is set to screen six horror movies for the first time. The festival will screen a movie at 23:30 every night throughout six days of the event.

While horror movies are not favored by Iranian filmmakers, the cinematic event has paid special attention to this genre.

The selected movies to go on silver screen are from South Korea, Japan, Russia, Poland and Mexico and Iran.

Established in 1982, Fajr International Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 35th International Fajr Film Festival is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran from April 21 through 28, 2017.
