Art and ExperienceIranian short movie ‘Shadows in Town’, directed by Shahriar Pourseyyedian, won the Best Short Film Award at Auburn International Festival of Children and Young Adults in Australia.

The film recounts the story of Saeed, who asked his teacher to give him a one-day chance to help his classmate Alireza, to answer the teacher’s questions.

Two other Iranian short movies Escape, directed by Mehrdad Parvini and Pouria Bojmehrani, and Salt Man, directed by Seyyed Javad Mousavi, also were present in the competition section of the event.

Auburn International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is the leading screen event dedicated to children and young adults in Australia. The 19th edition of AIFF festival was held on September 19-23 at Reading Cinemas in Auburn as well as Primary and High Schools from around the Western Sydney region.0
