“Risk of Acid Rain” has won the Colombo jury special prize
Art & Experience: Iranian filmmaker Behtash Sanaiha’s acclaimed social drama “Risk of Acid Rain” has won the jury special prize at the Colombo International Film Festival.
In this ceremony which was held in the Sri Lankan commercial capital from October 6 to 11 The Chinese movie “River Road” was crowned as the best film in the Asian completion section. The jury special prize of the Colombo festival is among the several awards that Sanaiha’s movie has received, the movie has won the best script award at the 2015 Fajr International Film Festival, and the Australia NETPAC Award and and bright talent award of critics writers association.
Shams Langeroodi, Maryam Moghaddam and Poria Rahimi Sam are the main actors and actresses of this movie. “Risk of Acid Rain” tells the story of Manoochehr who is sixty and retired from tobacco office but he goes to the office every day since he doesn’t have anything else to do. His mother wished to see his marriage until her last day alive while Manoochehr didn’t even have any friends other than Khosro.
This movie will be screened in Art & Experience cinema group from 9 November.
