‘Oblivion Season’ bags award for Best Film at US filmfest.
Art and Experience: Experiencing its 60th international presence, Oblivion Season by Abbas Rafei won Sanford International Film Festival’s award for Best Film and Best Cinematography.
Abbas Rafei’s 93-min feature narrative film Oblivion Season competed with films from the USA, Germany, Argentina, France, the UK and India at the US event held on May 25-29 in Florida.
Oblivion Season narrates the story of a struggling but strong-spirited woman who, against all prejudices, tries to assert herself against working women and also against the hostility and contempt of the family of her husband.
The movie has so far won many awards and titles at international events including the Best Film Award at Brasov International Film Festival (BRIFF), Best Feature Narrative Award at Buffalo International Film Festival (BIFF) and Best Film Award at the Third Annual Rahway International Film Festival in northeastern New Jersey, the US, in early September.
