Art and Experience: Iranian director Ziba Arjang’s “My Sardasht” has won the award for best animation at the Second Small World Film Festival in Bradford, England.

The animation is about Kajal, a carpet weaver, who is the only survivor of her family after Iraq’s chemical attack on Iranian town Sardasht in 1987.

“Suddenly the Wind” by Edris Samani from Iran, was also screened at the festival, which was held from June 1 to 30.
