Movies from Iran line up for Melbourne festival
Art and Experience: Movies by five Iranian filmmakers will be screened in the various sections of the Melbourne International Film Festival.
“Pig” by Mani Haqiqi and “Dressage” by Puya Badkubeh will be competing in the Middle East and Africa International section of the event, which will take place in the Australian city from August 2 to 19.
“3 Faces” by Jafar Panahi will be screened in the MIFF at the Regent and the Headliners sections.
The Headliners section will also screen Asghar Farhadi’s latest tense psychological thriller “Everybody Knows” starring Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
“Mr. Deer” by Mojtaba Musavi has been selected for the short film competition.
