Abbas Sandi, a graduate of the Youth Cinema Society, began making the first short film from the year 2000. He has directed and photographed several short and documentary films that featured at various festivals and won awards. “Shelter” is the first documentary of this director.

The character of Ms. Mahjub, as a young woman who actually dedicated all her life to protecting animals, was the main reason why I made the film “Shelter”.
A woman who, couple of years ago, with a very good life and work, decides to choose a new and different path to her life with the support and support of her family and friends and by dropping her job at the university and moving Place somewhere on the outskirts of the city, place a place for the maintenance and treatment of different animals.
This film is somehow about this choice.
