Mansour Zabetian to host Fajr filmfest opening ceremony
Art and Experience: Iranian TV presenter Mansour Zabetian has been chosen to host the opening ceremony of the 37th Fajr Film Festival (FFF).
Zabetian, who has been the host of various events and TV shows, will go on stage at the opening ceremony of the 37th FFF.
Born in 1970, he is a producer, director and journalist who has hosted some popular TV shows, including ‘Silver’ and ‘Radio 7’.
Zabetian has also published a number of books, particularly containing travel logbooks and photos.
The ceremony which includes diverse sections will be held on 29 January, 2019.
Established in 1982, the FFF is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, the festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The festival is simultaneous with the 40th anniversary of Iranian Revolution and is slated for January 30 – 11 February, 2019.
