‘Maned & Macho’ to vie at Indie-AniFest
Art and Experience: Iranian animation ‘Maned & Macho’ is to be screened at the Indie-AniFest in South Korea.
The 14th edition of the Korean festival will host the short animation directed by Shiva Sadegh-Asadi.
The animation narrates the story of a young girl’s repressed emotions and instincts that are embodied in some animals which come out of her dreams. However, no one in her family is receptive to these animals.
‘Maned & Macho’ has attended international film events, winning awards at the 2018 edition of the Animavi – International Film Festival of Poetic Animation in Italy.
The animation has also been listed official selection of Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France.
Indie-AniFest is the only film festival in Korea specializing in independent animations, now aims to become the world’s only Asian animation film festival.
The purpose of the festival is focusing on Korean Independent Animator’s experimental attempt and possibility, and presenting a vision through the expanding animation’s area.
The 14th edition of the S. Korean festival is slated for September 13-18, 2018.
