‘Lunch Time’, ‘Balance’ to vie at Green Bay Filmfest in US
Art and Experience: Iranian ‘Lunch Time’ and ‘Balance’ have been picked to vie at 2019 Green Bay Film Festival in the US.
Alireza Qasemi’s award-winning short flick, ‘Lunch Time’ will be in competition at the Foreign Drama Shorts section of the festival along with five other films selected to compete at this section.
The participants will go on screen at Walter Theater.
Being based on the director’s distant memory of childhood, ‘Lunch Time’ narrates the story of a high school girl who has come to hospital to identify the body of her mother.
It has had several international festival appearances and nominations; for instance, it received 2017 Cannes nom.
‘Balance’, directed by Barzan Rostami, will be competing with ten other animations at the Animation Shorts section of the film event. The films at this category will go on screen at Webb Theater.
The short animation tells the story of some soldiers who are willing to give away their own lives in a heroic action to save the lives of others.
The latest edition of the Green Bay Film Festival is slated for January 16- March 3, 2019.
