Art and Experience: Moslem Tabatabaee’s 3D animation ‘Light Sight’ which recently won Best Student Film at the European Cinematography Awards will be screened in various festivals in US, Italy and Brazil.
‘Light Sight’ is a seven-minute 3D animation directed by Moslem Tabatabaee that recently won Best Student Film at the March edition of the Polish event. It has also won several other awards at various international festivals, including the best 3D animation award at the Social Machinery Film Festival in Italy in 2017.
According to the director, the animation has one character and one setting; the character tries to escape from the room to get to the light he sees outside.
Following its success at various film festivals, ‘Light Sight’ will be next screened at seven international festivals in the coming months, including the 5th Cape Cod Festival of Arab & Middle Eastern Cinema hosted in the US on May 4, the semi-final of the 2nd AGRinCORTO festival in Italy on May 6, the CINECLUBE ANIMASSA on the occasion of the 6th anniversary RV Cultura Arte establishment in Brazil on May 6, the OutlantaCon Short Film Festival in the US, the SorsiCorti Short Film Festival in Itlay, the 4th Fine Arts Film Festival in the US, and the Garifuna International Indigenous Film Festival, US.
