Art and Experience: Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s Channel 1 plans to air the TV serial version of Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian’s acclaimed movie “Standing in the Dust” in six episodes from June 30.

The film tells the life story of Ahmad Motevasselian, an IRGC commander who was kidnapped by the Zionist regime in 1982 in Lebanon.

“Standing in the Dust” is Mahdavian’s debut film produced in 2015 and received awards at several festivals, including the 34th Fajr Film Festival.

The film also brought Mahdavian the award for Best Innovative and Promising Filmmaker at the 10th Celebration of Iranian Cinema Critics and Screenwriters.

In addition, the 14th International Resistance Film Festival picked “Standing in the Dust” as best film.
