Iran’s ‘Bridge’ honored at Turkish Film Festival
Art and Experience: Iranian director Reza Jamali was honored at Turkish film festival of Mercy and Justice.
Mercy and Justice International Short Film Festival awarded 20 short films. Prizes include 30,000 TL for the winner; 20,000 TL for the runner-up and 15,000 TL for the third prize. 2,000 TL of honorable mention prizes will be awarded to each film that ranks between 4th and 20th place.
Produced by Ardebil office of IYCS, Reza Jamali’s Bridge bagged a cash prize of 2000 TL and an Honorable Mention at the festival held in Istanbul.
Istanbul’s Cekmekoy Municipality launched the mercy and justice-themed international short film contest on May to introduce different aspects of the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad to help people understand him accurately.
Iranian renowned director Majid Majidi was the Jury President of the festival which was organized under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency.
Iranian director Nafiseh Sadat’s There Are No Thieves in this City claimed first place at the Turkish event.
