Art and Experience: Three Iranian films received top honors in the three categories of feature, short and documentary films in the Middle East special awards at the Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes, the organizers announced on Wednesday.

“We Will Say Amen” by Saman Salur won the award for best feature, “Father, Mother, Ali, Reza and Me” by Hanieh Yusefian received the best documentary award, and “Without Eve” by Komeil Rohani was named best short.

Iranian films “Fereshteh, Daughter of Ahmad” by Hassan Akhundpur and “The Ride” by Ali Khameparast Fard were screened in the official competition.

“Daydreamer” by Sasan Karimi, “One Day Later” by Ehsan Hemmati, “Bridge” by Amin Qhashqaian, “Noise” by Puya Razi, “Parking” by Abbas Omrani Bidi, and “Guitarist” by Rasul Yunan were competing in the short film section.

?Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes in cooperation with Cineport International Media dedicated its first edition of the special awards to the films by filmmakers from the Middle Eastern countries.

The Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes was held at Cinéma Les Arcades in Cannes from November 25 to 30.

The 1st edition of the Middle East special awards was organized in cooperation with Iran’s Cineport International Media.
