Iranian director nominated for American Golden Eagle
Art and Experience: Abbas Rafei, the director of Iranian acclaimed drama Oblivion Season, was nominated for Golden Eagle at the 59th Cine.
CINE builds and supports a community of professional, emerging and student film, television and digital content creators through the CINE Golden Eagle Awards.
The event has nominated Iranian internationally-acclaimed movie Oblivion Season for Best Feature Film.
“I am happy to be able to screen a film of Iranian cinema at a festival which previously has hosted classic and memorable works like Gladiator and Escape from Alcatraz,” Abbas Rafei said adding the event promotes classic and storyteller cinema.
Oblivion Season has so far participated in 63 international film festivals bringing 34 awards for Iranian cinema.
