Iranian Artists’ house commends late director Kiarostami
Art and Experience: A three-day event to praise Abbas Kiarostami, the most honored Iranian artist, is held in Iranian Artists’ house.
The ceremony was attended by cinema artists and Kiarostami’s fans.
On the sidelines, an interview by Martin Scorsese about Kiarostami’s character was played.
The figure, who passed away a year ago at a French hospital in Paris, has over 40 films in his production profile, was an international art and movie director, and a jury member of the Cannes Film Festival in 1993, 2002, 2005 and 2014. He was a frontrunner among Iranian artists, with over 32 awards won.
