Iran, Tajikistan sign MOU on cinema
Art and Experience: A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between Iran and Tajikistan to boost ties on joint film productions.
The MOU was inked by Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS) Director Farid Farkhondehkish and Safar Khakdodov, the executive director of Didor International Film Festival of Tajikistan, on the side section of the event, which ran from October 16 to 20.
Based on the MOU, the two sides have agreed to provide more facilities for future cooperation, IYCS announced in a press release published on Friday.
The organizers of the festival dedicated a special section to Iranian films in this edition of the festival.
“The Daughter” (Reza Mirkarimi), “Where Are My Shoes?” (Kiumars Purahmad), “Yahya Didn’t Keep Quiet” (Kaveh Ebrahimpur), “Atlan” (Moin Karimeddini), “Crazy Castle” (Abolhassan Davudi) and “What’s the Time in Your World?” (Safi Yazdanian) were among the films screened during the gala.
Moreover, actor Reza Kianian was among the jury members of the festival.
