Art and Experience: Iran short film ‘Alan’ has been nominated for an award at the Redline International Film Festival in Canada.

The short film is about a Kurdish man in Syria who has lost his home and family during the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist attacks.

Directed by Mostafa Gandomkar, the short film has so far attended a number of international film festivals, including the 11th Jahorina International Film Festival in Bosnia Herzegovina, the 14th Salento International Film Festival in Italy, the 17th Lille International Film Festival in France, the 9th Dhuk International Film Festival  in Iraq and the 6th Bangalore Short Film Festival in India.

Redline International Film Festival was founded as a passion project by Canadian indie filmmakers.

The goal for the event is to shine a light on the films and filmmakers that the mainstream media frequently overlook.

The winners of the festival are scheduled to be announced on February 24, 2018.
