Iran film ‘Forty Baldies’ screens in Netherlands
Art and Experience: Iran children movie ‘Forty Baldies’ has screened at the 2018 Cinekid Film Festival in Netherlands.
Directed by Sadegh Sadegh-Daghighi, the film has been shown at the Screening Club section of the festival. This section of the film event offers more than 300 recent children’s productions every year, during Cinekid for Professionals.
The film is about a teenager whose father is an Iraq-Iran war veteran. The father and son’s relationship is the major theme of the film story.
Notable among the cast are Pejman Bazeghi, Reza Naji, Maryam Bobani and Parham Deldar.
The teenage star of the film has been awarded Best Teen Actor at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Iran.
This Year, ‘Forty Baldies’ attended another international event, too, which was Zlin Film festival for Children and Youth in the Czech Republic.
Cinekid Film Festival has been formed aiming to guide children’s media development and helping them learn to view media critically.
The latest edition of the film event has been underway in the city of Amsterdam since October 20 and wraps up October 26, 2018.
