Iran Documentary Independent Award makes new announcement
Art and Experience: Iran Documentary Independent Award has revealed poster and lineup of selected docs in competition.
Out of 36 documentaries submitted, a selection of 10 documentaries was jury picked in three categories of short, medium-length and feature-length docs.
The category for short and medium-length documentaries include ‘Talan’ by Mohammad Sadegh Dehghani, ‘The Vars’ by Javad Vatani, Ard Attarpour’s ‘Persepolis – Chicago’, Mohammad-Reza Vatandoust’s ‘Lotus’ and ‘Dada Saltana’ by Hadi Ahmadi.
The feature-length documentaries selected for the event also include ‘The Mysteries of King Solomon’s Lake’ by Armin Isarian, ‘Finding Farideh’ by Azadeh Mousavi, Arash Eshaghi’s ‘Kharaman’, ‘Mouth Harp in Minor Key’ by Maryam Sepehri and ‘Like My Name Pegah’ by Soudabeh Beizai.
The official poster was also revealed on the sideline of the event.
The 10th Iran Documentary Independent Award is to be held on August 22, 2018 in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
