Iran-Armenia film ‘Yeva’ qualifies for Oscar participation
Art and Experience: Iran-Armenia film ‘Yeva’, directed by Anahid Abad, has been qualified to represent Armenia at the 90th edition of Academy Awards known as Oscar.
Produced by Taghi Aligholizadeh, the Iran-Armenia coproduction has received qualification for Oscar participation.
‘Yeva’, a woman who is under prosecution in connection with her husband’s murder, faces challenges in her life, the movie synopsis read.
The flick stars many recognized actors and actresses from Armenia such as Narine Grigoryan and Shant Hovhannisyan.
The 90th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will honor the best films of 2017 and will take place on March 4, 2018, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
