Iran animation ‘Run Rostam, Run’ to compete at Warsaw filmfest
Art and Experience: Iranian animation ‘Run Rostam, Run’ is to be screened at the Warsaw Int’l Filmfest in Poland.
Directed by Hossein Molayemi, the animation will vie at the short film competition section.
The animation tells the story of Rostam, a main character of Persian poet Ferdowsi’s epic masterpiece Shahnameh, who travels into the future and comes to Tehran in 2017.
Established in 1985, WFF joined the elite group of events recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations as international film festivals in 2009.
Now WFF is ranked next to the festivals of Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, San Sebastian, Karlovy Vary, Tokyo, Moscow, Mar del Plata, Montreal, Shanghai, Cairo, Goa, and Tallinn.
The 33rd edition of WFF is slated to be held on October 13-22, 2017.
