Iran actress presents awards in Tokyo
Art and Experience: Iran actress Taraneh Alidousti presents awards at Tokyo international Film festival in Japan.
The internationally acclaimed Iranian artist who served as juror at 2018 edition of Japan’s showcase announced Jesper Christensen as the winner of Best Actor Award for ‘Before the Frost’.
The flick’s director Michael Noer picked up the award on behalf the veteran Danish actor.
In the Friday award ceremony, French director Mikhael Hers’ family drama, ‘Amanda’ was also awarded the Grand Prix at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival.
Taraneh Alidousti, star of Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning ‘The Salesman’, was selected as one of the five jurors for the main competition section of Tokyo International Film Festival .
The 31st Tokyo International Film Festival attracted an audience of 62,125, and 164,000 total visitors to allied events, while screening a total of 181 films.
