Art and Experience: Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight took four big honors at the Capri Hollywood Film Festival.

In addition to Hateful Eight being named Best Movie, Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Jason Leigh received nods as Best Actor and Supporting Actress, while composer Ennio Morricone received the prize for Best Musical Score.

Netflix’s “Beasts of No Nation” won for awards for Cary Fukunaga for best director Idris Elba for best supporting actor and for cinematography. Brie Larson won the award for best actress for “Room.”

David O. Russell won best original screenplay honors for “Joy.” The best editor award went to Pietro Scalia for The Martian. Best animated film went to “Inside Out” and “Labyrinth of Lies was named best foreign film.

The festivals Legend award went to Irish film director Jim Sheridan. Belgian performer Matthias Schoenaerts was awarded as Revelation of the Year for Hooper’s The Danish Girl.
