Art and Experience: Over 800 films have been submitted to the 6th Iran International Green Film Festival (IIGFF) to be held next month.

The cinema section of the IIGFF, which is slated to take place in several cities across Iran for September, has so far received over 800 films from around the world, according to the public relations office of the festival.

Some 520 domestic and 270 foreign artworks from 43 countries have been sent to the cinema section of Iran’s largest environmental cinematic event, the office added.

The highest number of submissions hail from the US, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, the UK, Brazil, Germany and Russia, respectively. The submitted works include short, feature, experimental and animated films.

The Iran International Green Film Festival is considered the foremost cultural event in the Middle East, focusing on protecting the environment.

The 6th edition of the event will be held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran and several other cities from September 9-15.
