Art and Experience: Iranian short animation ‘Maned & Macho’ has been scheduled to vie at the Giffoni 2017 Film Festival in Italy.
Directed by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi, the short animation is to be screened at the 47th edition of the festival.
Being present at the official competition section of the event, ‘Maned & Macho’ is Iran’s only representative at the Italian event.
The animation narrates the story of a young girl’s repressed emotions and instincts that are embodied in some animals that come out of her dreams. However, no one in her family is receptive to these animals.
Giffoni International Film Festival is the largest children’s film festival in Europe. More than 2,000 children attend the festival from 39 countries around the world.
