Art and Experience: An animated story ‘For Freedom’ has won the Silver Medal in International Independent Film Awards held in Los Angeles.
Ahmad Khoshniat told Mehr News on Thursday that the short animation won the juries attention who had sought a ‘different perspective an innovation’ in short animations as properties to be valued in an art work.
‘For Freedom’ has also been selected in two other festivals. Chandler International Film Festival in Arizona and Russian Tula International Film Festival have selected Iranian animation for the competition sections.
Khoshniat’s 100-second animation ‘Fashion Nazi’ is among the official selections in SHORT to the Point. Director described the animation as the critique of the world of fashion in its surface layers, but is a critique of the decadent art and Communism in its subtext.
SHORT TO THE POINT comes with a number of opportunities for promoting, broadcasting and distributing the films entered into the festival. STTP offers professionals and amateurs the opportunity to see their short films projected in unconventional cinemas across Romania and Germany.
