FILMFEST DRESDEN to host Iran’s short ‘Bibi’
Art and Experience: Iranian short film ‘Bibi’ directed by Saeed Nejati, will be screened at FILMFEST DRESDEN – International Short Film Festival, in Germany.
Short film Bibi, produced in support of Arvand Free Zone, will be displayed at the German event on April 4-9.
The 11-minute movie, Bibi, was produced last year in Abadan, Khorramshahr and Minoo Island and is about a couple of teenagers who want to send a grandmother to Karbala for the 40th day of Imam Hossein martyrdom anniversary.
Earlier, Bibi has participated in 15 national, regional and international film festivals winning 8 awards including Audience Award for Best Film at Youth Film Festival, Best Film Award at Shamseh Festival and the Best Award at Arbaeen International Film Festival.
FILMFEST DRESDEN is one of the most important and best endowed European short film festivals. It focuses on short fiction and animation films. Next to its competitions and extensive special programmes, it offers events and workshops for media professionals. The primary focus of the six day festival in Dresden is its International Competition and National Competition.
