Art and ExperienceThe registration deadline for the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival has been reached.

With just over two months to go until the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival, filmmakers were rushing to turn their applications in before the deadline.

Given that the registration deadline has just ended, a large turnout of filmmakers is expected, especially for the New Look and Documentary awards. Reports indicate that the New Look award in particular has been well received, and with its return to this year’s festival, many filmmakers are expected to participate in this section of the awards.

Fajr Film Festival is held annually in Iran during the 10-day ceremony, which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini (RA), founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran (February 1) until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) in 1979.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran.
