Entries from 2016 Cannes to be screened at Iranian festival
Art and Experience: The 11th International 100-Second Film Festival will review a selection of movies screened in the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, the organizers announced on Wednesday.
Organized by the Art Bureau of the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization, the festival will be held in Tehran from February 22 to 24.
“4:15 p.m. the End of the World” directed by Catalin Rotarua and Gabi Virginia Sarga from Romania, “The Girl Who Danced with the Devil” by João Paulo Miranda Maria from Brazil, and “Après Suzanne” by Félix Moati from France are among the films.
The Cannes’ lineupe also included “Dreamlands” by Sara Dunlop from UK, “Fight on a Swedish Beach!!” by Simon Vahlne from Sweden, and “The Silence” by : Farnoosh Samadi and Ali Asgari from Italy and France.
Among the movies also are “Imago” by Raymund Ribay Gutierrez from the Philippines, “Law of the Lamb” by Lotfi Achour from Tunisia and France, “Mother” by Simón Mesa Soto from Sweden and Colombia, and “Timecode” by Juanjo Gimenez from Spain.
