Art and Experience: The 10th Cinema Verite, Iran’s major international festival for documentary cinema, announced the lineups for various categories of the international competition on Monday.

Nine documentaries have been selected for the full-length section. Among the films are “Arlette, Courage Is a Muscle” by Florian Hoffmann from Germany and “A Walnut Tree” by Ammar Aziz from Pakistan.

“Under the Sun” by Vitaly Mansky from Russia and “Holy Cow” from Azerbaijani director Imam Hasanov will also be shown in the section.

A lineup of nine documentaries, including “The Successor” by Mattia Epifani from Italy, “Aida’s Crossover” by Liliana Resnick from Croatia and “Ukrainian Sheriffs” by Roman Bondarchuk from Germany, will be competing in the mid-length category.

In addition, “Camrex” by Mark Chapman from England and “War Scarred Berlin” by Roland Fuhrmann from Germany are among the nine short documentaries to be screened at the event, which is scheduled to be held in Tehran from December 4 to 11.
