‘Bystander’ awarded at Taganay Muses filmfest
Art and Experience: Iranian short animation ‘Bystander’ was honored by the International Festival of Cinema and Television Taganay muses, held in Zlatoust, Russia.
Directed by Sheyda Kashi, the animation was awarded in the “Творящие добро” category; which can be roughly translated to “doing good”.
Taganay muses festival kicked off June 28 and wrapped up on July 1.
‘Bystander’ is about an old man who is living behind a window from where he sees a dark world and remembers his past when he had participated in a revolution.
The animation has been screened in several international festivals, winning numerous awards including the Best Animation at 2018 International Youth Film Festival “Light of the World” in Russia and best short animated movie award at the 3rd Cinemaway Film Festival in Ukraine.
