Buenos Aires festival to open with “24 Frames”
Art and Experience: Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami’s last experimental work “24 Frames” will be the opening film of the Buenos Aires International Documentary Film Festival.
Kiarostami completed “24 Frames” months before his death in July 2016. “It began with musings on epochal paintings and evolved with the photographs I had taken over the years,” Kiarostami once said about his film.
“Kahrizak-Tajrish”, a short documentary by Iranian filmmaker Azadi Rezaian-Moqadam will compete in the festival.
The Buenos Aires International Documentary Film Festival will be held in the Argentinian city from July 24 to August 2.
