Australia film festival nominates Iran actor
Art and Experience: Iranian actor Navid Mohammadzadeh scores a nod at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA), Australia for his appearance in ‘No Date, No Signature’.
Mohammadzadeh joins the list of other actors for the Best Performance by an Actor award from the 11th edition of the awards event in Australia.
Actors from Iran, Philippines, Japan, India and Palestine will vie for the festival’s best actor award.
The movie narrates the story of a doctor who works at the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization. He has to examine the corpse of someone that he used to know in the past.
Hediyeh Tehrani, Amir Aqaei, Saeed Dakh, Alireza Ostadi and Navid Mohammadzadeh star in the film.
Mohammadzadeh has won the best actor award from the Venice Horizons section of the 2017 Venice Film Festival.
Established in 2007 and headquartered in Brisbane, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards is an international cultural program driven by Brisbane City Council through Brisbane Marketing endorsed by UNESCO and FIAPF – International Federation of Film Producers Associations.
The 11th APSA will present the awards to the winners in Brisbane, Australia, on November 23.
