‘African Violet’ to screen at Edinburgh Iranian Fest
‘African Violet’ is scheduled to be screened at Edinburgh Iranian Festival in Scotland.
Directed by Mona Zandi, the film will be displayed at the event alongside 15 other Iranian movies.
‘African Violet’ narrates the story of Shuku and her second husband who decides to bring Shuku’s first husband home, after being taken to nursing home by his children.
Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Reza Babak and Saeed Aghakhani are the main cast of the film.
The Edinburgh Iranian Festival belongs to a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organization. The festival aims to increase understanding of Iranian culture, history and people, at a time when perceptions of the country in the Western world are heavily skewed by politics.
The festival is scheduled to take place in the Scottish capital on March 1-7, 2019.
