Art and Experience: “A157” a story of war and life in a refugee camp on the Turkish border with Iraq, directed by Behrouz Nouranipour will be on screen in Soreh hall of Hozeh-ye-Honari on Thursday 24 November.

It depicts the plight of three little Kurdish sisters who have lost their parents in an ISIL attack on their town near the Syrian-Iraqi border. The three sisters were imprisoned and enslaved by their ISIL captors. They are now living in a refugee camp near the Turkish border where they candidly talk to the camera about their ordeals during captivity.

“Searching for location to find a documentary movie we came across a new way of telling the war’s story. We took shots around a year all over different parts of Syria, Turkey and Iraq’s Kurdestan.”
