Art and Experience: The Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) awarded two Iranian films with its best prizes.
Best Director and Best Actress Award of the Indian event was granted to Mahtab Keramati and Hassan Barzideh, actress and director of Iranian feature movie Mazar Sharif.
Saba Mahdavi also won the Award for Best Child Artist for her acting in Ranna’s Silence directed by Behzad Rafiee.
Mazar Sharif and Ranna’s Silence are both products of Surah Cinema Development Organization.

Ranna’s Silence is about a seven-year-old girl, Ranna, and her hen, Kakoli which is hunted on a rainy day by a jackal.
